Ayana Bradshaw, MPH, a Philadelphia native, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from West Chester University and a Masters of Public Health from Temple University. Ayana has over 20 years of experience in multiple facets of public health, including but not limited to, ensuring quality of care for behavioral health participants, developing community health interventions for underserved populations, serving as speaker and convener in community-based participatory research efforts, managing the day to day operations of a federally funded violence prevention center, managing a chronic disease grantee program for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and serving as a curriculum writer for online continuing education credits. Additionally, Ayana served as Administrative Director for the Center for Injury Research and Prevention (CIRP) and the Center for Violence Prevention (CVP) at The Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia where she was responsible for providing strategic vision and operational oversight, financial management of a $25 million annual budget, and serving as chief administrator for >100 individuals. Ayana serves as the Executive Director of Health Promotion Services for the Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) and Executive Director of Health Promotion Council of Southeastern Pennsylvania, an affiliate of PHMC. Ayana provides visionary leadership, day-to-day administrative, programmatic, operational and fiscal management of Health Promotion, including, strategic development, development and measurement of performance metrics and outcomes, innovative and integrated health related program development, and maintaining and developing positive relationships with funders, government officials, community leaders, and health and human service providers. As part of Ayana’s oversight of Health Promotion Council (HPC) she works with the HPC Board to conduct strategic planning, ensure and manage agency growth, and conduct specialized marketing and revenue generating activities. In addition to Ayana’s day-to-day responsibilities, she has served as an Adjunct Instructor at Temple University and West Chester University and currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of PMHCC and as a Board Member of West Oak Lane Charter School. Ayana is actively involved in community service initiatives, including serving as Public Relations Chairman in her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and serving in numerous leadership positions within her church.

Pamela Clarke
Pamela Clarke, MSW, is the Senior Director of Quality and Operations at Health Promotion Council (HPC). In this role, her responsibilities include providing leadership, management and technical capability for continuous quality improvement to the organization’s programs and operations; ensuring effective and efficient use of human and financial capital; monitoring and strengthening business operations, staff core competencies, organization-wide data, and evaluation planning and implementation; and compliance related to all funded activities. Additionally, Ms. Clarke oversees Tobacco Cessation and Control Programs and the Training Capacity and Building Department. With over 35 years of healthcare experience, Ms. Clarke has a demonstrated history as a leader in the industry. She has worked extensively with hospitals, health plans and behavioral health organizations. She is skilled in healthcare management and operations, public policy and advocacy. Prior to joining HPC, she was instrumental in the establishment and implementation of a regional health information exchange. In 2017, Ms. Clarke obtained a certification from the Jefferson School of Population Health’s Academy. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross.

Jamie Magee
Jamie Magee, MSW, MSPH, is the Director of Tobacco Prevention and Control Services and the Advocacy Institute. In this role, she is responsible for strategic and fiscal direction and oversight of two HPC departments. Ms. Magee joined HPC in September 2011, bringing extensive experience in the field of health promotion and education. More specifically, she has worked in the areas of youth tobacco use prevention, breast cancer survivorship education, and the elimination of health disparities. She also sits on the board of directors for the Enterprise Center, the Mary Ryan Foundation and Woodstream Swim Club. Ms. Magee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from James Madison University and Master's degrees in Public Health and Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was selected to participate in the Maternal and Child Health Leadership Training Consortium.

Gina Trignani
Gina Trignani Kirk, R.D., L.D.N., Health Promotion Council's Director for Training and Capacity-Building, is responsible for overseeing the provision of technical assistance and capacity-building to local and statewide organizations to improve access to and utilization of evidence-based chronic disease prevention and management programs. Her role also focuses on increasing HPC’s fee for service offerings and worksite wellness programming. Ms. Kirk brings over 25 years of industry experience in community and clinical settings as a licensed, registered dietitian-nutritionist with a focus on diabetes care and management. Prior to joining HPC in 2000, Ms. Kirk served as a clinical dietitian and diabetes research coordinator and educator at the former Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital. She was recruited to join HPC’s growing nutrition education team at Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Ambulatory Health Services Health Centers, offering the Taking Control™ Staying Healthy with Diabetes Program and providing nutrition education to underserved populations. She has also served in many other capacities for the organization, which include oversight of HPC’s technical assistance to the Office of Homeless Services’ Child and Adult Care Food Program, ensuring compliance with federal meal planning regulations; implementing school health policies, including obesity prevention efforts across three school districts in Montgomery County through WISE SNAC®; and increasing food access and quality through developing community garden and farm partnership with food pantries in the Greater North Penn region of Montgomery County through the Cultivating Communities Campaign. The latter two initiatives were funded by HealthSpark Foundation.
Susan Hayes, RD, LDN is the Director of Nutrition and Active Living at Health Promotion Council (HPC). In this role, she is responsible for sustaining and growing the department, to include developing new methods and approaches to improving community health outcomes through nutrition and physical activity, developing, and retaining a talented workforce, cultivating, and stewarding partnerships, and providing fiscal oversight of grants and contracts within the department. Susan joined Health Promotion Council in May 2018 and has worked as Nutrition and Active Living Program Manager, as well as Registered Dietitian within diabetes management programs. Her professional background includes over 20 years of combined experience in clinical and community nutrition, pharmaceutical management of nutrition-related chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease within the pharmaceutical industry, and food service management within healthcare and school settings. Susan holds a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University and has completed all Master of Science coursework in Nutrition Education and Communications at Columbia University Teacher’s College. Susan is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian, having completed her Dietetic Internship at the Combined Dietetic-Master’s Degree Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. Susan is passionate and committed to promoting diversity, equity and access to healthcare, nutritious food, and active lifestyles.
LaMia Shaw, MPH, LSW graduated from the University of Michigan in 2011 with her Master of Social Work and Public Health. Her dedication to the diminishment of health disparities led her to 2.5 years of service in the United States Peace Corps. During her service in Darkhan, Mongolia, she worked for the nation’s largest health department, providing capacity building training to nurses and doctors while creating mobile health programming for children with disabilities in the rural populations. Before her service, Mrs. Shaw worked as an HIV Test Counselor and Crisis Intervention Specialist at an interpersonal violence shelter in Michigan. She has lived and worked in Philadelphia for the last 8 years where she has come to love the city and its residents. Her work with the Health Promotion Council has allowed her to grow and develop the home-visiting programs and services offered within the Family Services Department for children and youth with special healthcare needs. Mrs. Shaw has a passion for addressing racial and health inequities in Philadelphia and the broader society. She has created and chaired many councils to gain traction in the subject-matter and sees this commitment as critical to improving the work we do in communities every day.
Jean Wintz-Dabney, MPA currently serves as the Assistant Director for Parenting Services within the Family Services department at Health Promotion Council. Her portfolio includes supporting the Focus on Fathers, Relationship Education in the Mix (ReMix) and Family Planning Access Navigation (FPAN) programs. Jean has been with PHMC for over 8 years, working in the areas of program administration and implementation, quality control and continuous quality improvement (CQI). Her passion is leveraging the human and institutional infrastructure built by the non-profit sector to influence funder decisions for community grants. Jean has a master’s degree from Villanova University and is an active community volunteer.
Katie O’Connor-Jenkins MPH, is the Assistant Director of Tobacco Prevention and Control Services. In this role, she is responsible for oversight and implementation of a comprehensive tobacco control project in Southeastern PA as well as assisting with growth, development and strategic planning for the department. Katie joined the department in 2018, bringing over 10 years of experience working in the field of tobacco prevention and control including providing tobacco dependence treatment, youth prevention education, community outreach, policy change, and enforcement of youth access laws. Katie holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health from Temple University and a Master of Public Health from University of Michigan.
