Thought Leadership

Through our long history in community-based programming, we have become a recognized leader in improving public health.
Capacity Building & Training Services

Health Promotion Council’s Training and Capacity Core (TCAP) leverages organizational expertise, programs and processes  to produce training, curriculum and services that empower communities and organizations to address existing and emerging public health issues.   TCAP employs a six step continual process that includes Collaboration, Research, Curriculum Development, Standardization/Branding, Implementation and Evaluation.

Through HPC’s long history in community-based programming, we have built expertise in the art and science of improving public health. Utilizing our expertise and experience in the field, we have made multiple contributions to the field of public health, including community-based research and development of innovative programs that address unmet health needs in diverse communities.

As a thought leader in the field, we:

  1. Employ evidence-based and best practice strategies while helping to create, test, and replicate new approaches to solving public health dilemmas through research and/or capacity building initiatives.
  2. Work with national and local leaders and organizations to coordinate and innovate approaches that promote health equity for all.
  3. Partner with individuals and communities to listen and act on identified needs, improve access to quality healthcare, and promote healthy environments where people live, work, learn, and play.
  4. Serve as an expert and neutral convener in bringing together mission-aligned institutions to achieve collective impact.
  5. Publish and disseminate our findings and outcomes so that others can learn from our important work.
